Target Audience: The target audience for this program are plastic surgeons, facial plastic surgeons and otolaryngologists dedicated to improvement of the patient's facial aesthetic appearance. The scope of practice includes surgical and ancillary procedures of the forehead, eyes, mid-face, nose, lips, chin and neck. Surgical outcomes can be greatly improved or hindered by the use of ancillary procedures such as fat grafting, dermal fillers, denervation, skin resurfacing and skin care. This program is designed to fit squarely within  the scope of practice for this audience.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of the symposium, the participant should be able to:
  • Clinically analyze and diagnose common and subtle rhinoplasty problems
  • Identify the appropriate rhinoplasty techniques for specific rhinoplasty problems
  • Develop an individual approach to rhinoplasty
At the conclusion of the cadaver dissection laboratory, the attendee should be able to:
  • Identify problems in the nasal anatomy
  • Perform multiple basic and advanced rhinoplasty maneuvers including rib harvesting

Physician Accreditation: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of Medical Education Resources and the FACE Foundation. Medical Education Resources is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation: Medical Education Resources designates this educational activity for a maximum of 25.75 AMA PRA Category 1 credits for the didactic portion and for a maximum of 4 AMA PRA Category 1 credits for the dissection lab. Physicians should only claim credit commensorate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
